Overview:
This associate level marketing position is the epitome of growing community -- inside our store through experiences and outside the store through evangelism. The Community Marketing Manager will partner with stores to drive traffic and revenue through events and the creation of outside relationships (schools, businesses). This position will support word-of-mouth marketing and direct selling programs designed to attract, grow, and maintain Guests.
The candidate should be located in the Winston-Salem, NC or Raleigh, NC area. A flexible schedule is a must and some overnight travel will be required within the Carolinas.
Responsibilities:Inside our 4 Walls
1. Execute community driving and monetized events in the stores.
- Plan 16 events per store per month.
- Work with stores to ensure proper scheduling of assistance and product needed for the events.
- Work with Local Marketing Managers to access and order necessary collateral.
- Promote events
2. Provide support for catering and party planning by being a central support. These Selling Events focus on cross-departmental activations that are above and beyond one department but instead are occasions requiring higher level organization and provide opportunities for additional sales. These could include birthday parties, weddings, and large corporate lunches.
3. Schedule and arrange music events in stores based on budgets and needs to drive traffic.
4. Create monthly calendar of events for stores to include key department activities.
Outside our 4 Walls
5. Conduct outside selling with a key emphasis on seasonal goals.
6. Manage Cart 2 Class program for targeted schools by reaching out in conjunction with the stores for registration and impact on Private Brand sales.
7. Support events in the community including activations at sponsorships and store-based outreach.
8. Support Market Insights as needed through conducting in-store interviews as well as in-home ethnographic visits.
Qualifications:Possess the knowledge and skills generally associated with a Bachelor's Degree plus 1-3 years of progressively increasing experience. Degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or Business preferred. Strong communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders. Strong organization and project management skills. Ability to multi-task in a deadline oriented environment. Excellent MS Office skills are required.
