Senior Design Drafter:

Our client seeks a dedicated Senior Design Drafter to join their team! In this role you will have the opportunity to take a project from the concept phase, to design, fabrication, and finally supervise the installation in the field.

This role is onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Senior Design Drafter Responsibilities:

• Create and develop new product designs while adapting existing product lines to meet customer requirements and applications.
• Work closely with engineering teams to transform rough concepts into detailed, finished designs.
• Manage projects from initial concept through to design, fabrication, and field installation, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
• Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks) for drafting and design tasks.
• Apply expertise in heavy industry sectors, including oil and gas, forestry, mining, material processing, and construction, to deliver effective design solutions.

Senior Design Drafter Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a drafting or design role.
• Proficient in both 2D and 3D CAD design and drafting in programs like Autocad, Inventor, or Solidworks.
• Heavy Industry design experience including but not limited to Oil and Gas Drilling, Forest Products, Mining, Material Processing, Infrastructure and Construction.
• Fluent in and able to communicate clearly in English.
