Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Public Relations to lead our PR efforts, drive strategic initiatives, and build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing high-impact PR strategies, fostering top-tier media relationships, managing high-performing teams, and overseeing reputation management efforts across various channels. This leadership role requires a blend of strategic vision, creativity, and operational excellence, with a focus on positioning our brand as an industry leader.

As the VP of PR, you will oversee relationship building, strategy creation, content development, team management, and channel reputation management while ensuring alignment with our brand voice and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with organizational goals and business priorities focusing on awareness and reputation management.
  • Develop and maintain top-tier relationships, acting as the primary liaison for key media contacts, industry influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Broaden the company's network by identifying and establishing connections with emerging media outlets and publications.
  • Secure placements in top-tier media outlets, ensuring consistent and positive brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure PR efforts align with overall business objectives
  • Oversee press releases, interviews, and media appearances to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.
  • Monitor public perception of the organization and take proactive steps to address reputational risks.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing PR team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership, highlighting successes, insights, and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in public relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a team.
  • Proven success in developing and executing PR strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with established contacts in media, industry, and influencer networks.
  • Strong understanding of reputation management, crisis communication, and digital media strategies.
  • Experience in team leadership and development, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and compelling messaging.
  • Proficiency in using PR tools, analytics platforms, and social media management software.
