Overview:
The SEO Lead will report to the Corporate Manager of Digital Content and focuses on ensuring the websites for all Six Flags Parks & Resorts are fully optimized for appearance and positioning in organic search results for maximum guest engagement and increased web traffic. In addition, this role will work with the external ad agency as well as internal content strategy team to identify, implement, test, and measure experience and personalization enhancement opportunities across the park websites and mobile apps. This role will also be responsible for ensuring a seamless online profile management experience and maximizing targeted messaging opportunities leveraging the profile data available.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and improve search visibility across all Six Flags Parks & Resorts sites by optimizing written and image content on the sites, including keywords and alt tags, ensuring that every page's meta data includes the most beneficial search terms, implementing Schema Markup for applicable events and content, and working with internal or external copywriters as needed to create SEO-friendly content.
* Maintain SEO Authority by managing content migration throughout the season and as needed for major site re-launches. Maximize organic site traffic and report results.
* Execute analyses of competitor brands to identify share of voice and contestable keywords.
* Provide actionable recommendations on technical SEO improvements.
* Conduct regular and ad hoc SEO analytics reporting to provide strategic recommendations to park partners and brand/marketing/content leadership.
Qualifications:
* Education required: B.S. Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or another related field
* Minimum years of experience required: 4 or more years in marketing, with previous experience developing a successful lead generation and nurturing program
* Understanding of keywords optimization and usage of platforms such as BrightEdge and Conductor
* Experience with Content Management Systems - Sanity, Content Stack, Bloomreach
* Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Workzone
* Familiarity with optimization and testing platforms such as Optimizely and Google Optimize
* Strong business acumen and results-oriented
* Strong project management skills and attention to detail
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Comfortable working cross-functionally
* Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
