Tyto Athene seeks a User Experience Lead to guide user research, design, and testing for the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 program. Tyto Athene seeks a User Experience Lead to guide user research, design, and testing for the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 program. Based in Doral, Florida, this role involves creating user-focused digital solutions through data-driven insights and actionable recommendations that support mission-critical operations across USSOUTHCOM’s Area of Responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead UX initiatives across the SCITES 2 program to deliver intuitive, integrated digital experiences.
- Develop strategies for user research using tools such as interviews, surveys, and testing to inform UX designs.
- Translate operational requirements into actionable UX improvements and measurable deliverables.
- Employ data-driven methodologies to analyze user interactions and optimize system performance.
- Create prototypes or mockups to communicate design solutions and gain stakeholder feedback.
- Monitor user environment trends and identify improvement opportunities through continuous analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align UX designs with organizational goals and mission objectives.
- Document processes and provide clear, actionable reports on user feedback and system performance.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology, or a related field. (Additional experience may substitute for a degree.)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in user experience design, research, or related fields.
- Expertise in applying qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform design solutions.
- Proficiency in creating mockups or prototypes that translate user insights into actionable design strategies.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for managing multiple projects and engaging with stakeholders.
- Active or ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Master’s degree in UX Design, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with USSOUTHCOM’s mission, operational goals, and structure.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools and methods for user experience evaluation.
