About the team
Our TikTok UED Monetization Product team is at the forefront of enabling and inspiring clients to seamlessly connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. As a Lead Product Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience and design of our monetization products, ensuring they meet the high standards of both the business and our users.
You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design process, collaborating cross-functionally with design, product, marketing, and engineering teams to create impactful designs that solve complex problems. Your work will span across mobile and desktop platforms, and you'll leverage both qualitative and quantitative user research to guide your decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full design lifecycle for your product, from understanding core user challenges to delivering polished, pixel-perfect UI across both mobile and desktop platforms.
- Develop and test rough prototypes early in the process to validate solutions, iterating quickly based on feedback.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and other teams to define a strategic vision and roadmap for the product, contributing to high-level decision-making.
- Create detailed, high-fidelity UI and UX specifications to effectively communicate design requirements to engineers and stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level designers, sharing your expertise and guiding them in best practices.
- Contribute to and evolve our design systems, ensuring consistency across the platform.
- Help shape design thinking across the broader organization, including research, marketing, product education, and customer success teams.
- Drive the creation and communication of design visions that inspire stakeholders and align with business goals.
- Champion a user-centered design approach, balancing user empathy with business needs, particularly in complex B2B enterprise contexts like CRM, sales, ads, and monetization.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where quick iteration and adaptation to changes are key.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in lead product design settings, with background in enterprise or B2B platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in designing for CRM, sales, ad tech, or monetization use cases, with both mobile and desktop experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to articulate design decisions and the rationale behind them to various stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive the end-to-end design process independently, from research and conceptualization to execution and delivery.
- Experience designing and shipping products with complex workflows, multiple scenarios, and edge cases.
- Must have a passion for enterprise product design and a desire to solve complex problems in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to think strategically, create a cohesive design vision, and effectively communicate it to cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring or leading design teams while remaining hands-on and detail-oriented.
- Experience or strong interest in data visualization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cross-platform (mobile and desktop) product design for CRM or monetization products.
- A keen eye for detail and strong visual UI skills.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
