Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Writer – Architect for a Contract job with a client in Dallas, TX (Hybrid). The candidate will create, maintain, and enhance documentation across various technical functions, ensuring clear and accessible resources for teams.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Writer – Architect job responsibilities include:

Collaborating with enterprise architects and cross-functional teams to gather information on policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation such as technical manuals, process documentation, policy guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensuring all documentation is consistent in style, format, and terminology, adhering to company standards and industry best practices.
Organizing and maintaining a centralized repository for all technical documentation, ensuring easy access and version control.
Conducting regular reviews and updates of documentation to reflect changes in processes, technologies, and policies.
Assisting in the development of training materials and presentations to support resource onboarding and ongoing education.
Collaborating with subject matter experts to clarify complex information and ensure accuracy.
Utilizing various tools and software for documentation purposes (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite).
Participating in team meetings and contributing to brainstorming sessions to improve documentation processes and knowledge sharing.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in an enterprise architecture or IT environment.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, cloud computing, and security practices.
Proficiency in documentation tools and content management systems such as Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
