What your day will look like:
Neil Kelly Design Consultants work on a team with a Project Manager, Design Associates and Carpenters. The Design Consultant is the first point of contact for clients and will work with them throughout the remodeling process to ensure a beautiful end result.
A typical day includes meeting with clients, selling projects, setting project timelines, working with outside vendors and coordinating with your team to design, estimate and complete residential remodeling work.
As a Design Consultant at Neil Kelly, you will be:
- Meeting with prospects, generating leads and establishing client relationships.
- Applying your passion and design skills to sell jobs and ensuring client satisfaction throughout project, and at project completion.
- Assisting the client with acquiring financing, if needed.
- Leading the design and sales process with clients and project team.
- Coordinating the billing process with the office staff and reviewing all for accuracy
- Participating in company special events, and showroom floor hours.
- Degree in architecture, interior design, interior architecture or housing design
- Five+ years' experience in residential home, kitchen, and bath design, including cabinetry
- Two or more years of sales experience, with a proven sales track record, seasoned closing skills and the ability to cultivate and grow your lead pool
- Understanding of the construction process- a background in residential construction preferred
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and stick to a timeline
- Well-developed customer service and client interaction skills
- A strong portfolio of built design work
- NKBA certification
- Experience running your own residential design business
- Experience designing and/or selling ADU's and or new construction
