As Senior Industrial Designer, you'll be part of a team of thoughtful, curious problem solvers with a service mindset that thrives on creating great design and user experiences. You'll be responsible for executing the design process and leading design POV from concept to production, ensuring our products are visually compelling, user-centric, and manufacturable. In this role, your passion for industrial design and innovation will help to ensure we continue to offer cutting-edge and reliable products that exceed customer expectations and secure our market advantage.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a key contributor, a team leader, and a three-dimensional thinker focused on harmonizing form and user experience with functional and manufacturing requirements.
- Lead and articulate design POV in a cross-functional, matrixed project team while producing project deliverables on time and on spec.
- Oversee multiple industrial design initiatives, prioritizing workstreams amid sometimes conflicting interests, recognizing and communicating risk when it arises.
- Drive a strong, user-centered approach through research, ideation, and iterative concept development to consistently deliver high product value.
- Work closely with design engineers and system engineers to ensure smooth implementation and handling of design concepts through the NPD process
- Alongside user experience designers, create seamless physical/ digital experiences that evolve our visual brand language across the portfolio of products.
- Support advanced R&D functions to investigate new technologies, materials and techniques to support product roadmaps and enhance brand value proposition.
- Alongside product management and sales functions, lead design research to gather stakeholder insights, identify latent user needs, and customer requirements to inform design concept ideation and development.
- Mentor junior level designers as a collaborative teammate and project leader

- Optimizer: You find ways to continuously improve processes, refine methods and processes, and boost team performance.
- Excellent conceptual skills and ability to rapidly ideate and describe concepts clearly
- A refined design process that underpins your approach to problem definition, concept development and product solutions
- Demonstrated experience in product design and development that is supported by a strong understanding of business objectives, product trends, manufacturing processes, and material properties
- A highly motivated collaborator and problem-solver who can mentor team members in developing necessary skills and achieving strategic and career goals.
- Ability to navigate a hybrid work model, optimizing studio time with the team while balancing heads-down work remotely.
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks, Keyshot, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with user experience research methodologies, UI design, Figma
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Design
- 7+ years of professional experience in design consultancy or in-house manufacturing
- A strong original portfolio of creative work demonstrating process and outcomes from concept to launch
- Expert skills in 3D modeling in Solidworks
