Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Trade Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is critical to the success of our brand initiatives driving the connection between our marketing strategies and sales objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the wine industry / three tier system, strong project management skills, and a passion for delivering impactful regional activations. In-office schedule Monday-Thursday (Napa, CA), Friday is remote.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the development and execution of regional marketing plans for a select group of strategic priority brands in target states and markets.
  • Responsible for driving incremental sales and revenue growth in target markets for these brands.
  • Regional Activation Planning & Brand Building:
    • Lead cross-functional efforts to identify regional marketing opportunities, to build priority brands in collaboration with Sales leadership and local sales teams.
    • Collaborate with Brand teams to ensure regional marketing efforts are aligned with brand strategy and national objectives.
    • Develop and implement creative 360-degree marketing plans that effectively engage consumers, trade partners, and customers.
  • Sales Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Execute marketing programs in an effective, timely, and cost-controlled manner to meet the local needs of assigned regions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with local sales teams, distributor partners, and key customers to ensure the successful execution of marketing plans.
    • Liaise with the creative team to develop region-specific marketing assets that resonate with local consumers.
    • Partner with procurement, finance, legal and other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency in program execution.
    • Present regional marketing plans and performance reports to Sales and Marketing leadership.
  • Budget & Program Management:
    • Oversee budget recommendations, track expenditures, and assess ROI for regional marketing initiatives.
    • Develop and execute point-of-sale, promotions and marketing campaigns to support local sales efforts and drive brand growth.
    • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of regional marketing programs, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Stay informed of new trends and competitive activities to continuously innovate and build brand strength.
Qualifications:
  • Education: 4 year degree, preferably in business/marketing
  • Experience of the 3-tier system for wine/spirits distribution is a must.
  • 5 or more years of relevant brand, trade or customer marketing experience within the adult beverage industry with experience leading significant brand initiatives
  • Strong communication skills, to include the ability to forge relationships across the organization at a variety of levels
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills: this position has many touchpoints, including conference calls, in person and group emails and will also require internal communication with multiple departments
  • Thrive managing lots of moving parts: this position will have multiple touchpoints and multiple activations running at all times
  • Attention to detail: responsible for many deliverables the require you to may close attention to what is being produced
  • Must also be proactive, solution-oriented, professional, adaptable, have strong work ethic, and have strong organizational skills
  • Able to handle multiple projects at one time, detail oriented, and work well under pressure
  • Advanced knowledge of basic PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, etc.)
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the US. The role may involve travel approximately once a month for 2-4 days.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent travel, both by car and air
  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds (case of wine)
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
  • Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases and retail supplies, setting up for special events)
  • In-office schedule Monday-Thursday (Napa, CA), Friday is remote.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00

The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
