Location: Providence, RI - 100% Remote
Duration: 12 Month Renewable Contract
Hours: 25 hours per week

Overall Responsibility:
Responsible for writing grant applications and request for proposals (RFP) as well as follow-up reports and handling of confidential decision packages ultimately submitted to the Office of Management Budget (OMB).

Specific Expertise:
This individual has experience in grant writing and funding opportunities and RFP.

Supervision Received:
Reports to the Director of the Division of Behavioral Health.

Key Relationships:
Work closely with all the units of the Division of Behavioral Health and any other BHDDH divisions or external agencies as dictated by the assignment.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for writing, completion, and submitting all grant applications, RFP, and decision packages assigned by the Director.
  • Any assignment or requests for assistance for writing, completion, and submission, must be approved by the Director of Behavioral Health.
  • Responsible for working collaboratively within the Division of Behavioral Health and/or any agencies with BHDDH or external to BHDDH, to obtain information to complete all sections of a grant application or RFP, or decision package.
  • Is the lead and facilitator in providing collaboration, establishing meetings to assure completion with detailed timelines and is responsible for bringing in subject matter experts as needed.
  • Is the lead and facilitator with all questions to funding sources that assures compliance with grant opportunity requests, OMB requests, or follow-up RFP issues, questions, and concerns.
  • Provides written reports as required for the Division of Behavioral Health.

Requirements:
  • 2 years grant writing.
  • 2 years RFP writing/handling experience.
  • 2 years working with funding sources and opportunities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Clear and precise English both written and verbal.
  • Quick and efficient work pace.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
