ResponsibilitiesThe Web Content Administrator will be in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Command in Panama City, Florida. Shall monitor and maintain the connection to the NSWC PCD internal SharePoint Online (SPO) site. Supporting updates and content that encourages users to regularly access the site and utilize it as a major source for information and decision-making.
Additionally, shall:
- Perform functions such as managing and performing site editorial activities including gathering and researching information that enhances the value of the website.
- Locate, determine suitability of, and pursue content.
- Seek out customers to gather feedback for website improvement and enhancements.
- Perform functions such as architect, design, and develop the NSWC PCD internal SPO sites.
- Once the SPO sites are set up, update entries as needed, update contributors on submission standards and requirements, and provide page maintenance including removal of stale pages and detection and elimination of faulty Uniform Resource Locator (URL) links.
- Proficiently utilize the following: HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), .NET, SharePoint Online, VBscript, and JavaScript.
- Provide scripting and alternative page delivery skills as well as proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and other audio and video web production tools to ensure compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is required.
- Develop enhancements and additional capabilities to the existing NSWC PCD SPO processes and data to support all functional areas of the NSWC PCD community areas such as: Service Cost Centers, Business Operations, and Quality Assurance.
- Provide customer training and programming support as needed.
Qualifications
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferably in STEM from an accredited institution preferred.
Experience and Requirements:
- 3-5 years of related experience required. Prior experience in related environment preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Server, Linux, Mac, Apple iOS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, Alloy Navigator, and ServiceNow.
- Proficient with SharePoint Designer and Site Collection Administrator Certification, JavaScript, HTML, Web Services, Web Publishing, Web Design Principles. SharePoint development using SharePoint Object Model (2007 or 2010).
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Word and Excel), proficient with HTML editing. Knowledge of IDEs and experience in production management, web page design, HTML, and web graphics types and standards.
Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as: CCNA-Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND or SSCP
Security Clearance: Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active government security clearance.
