Job Title: Mechanical Designer (High Voltage Switch Products) Location: Hampton, GA Do you thrive in a challenging role where you can design and develop cutting-edge high-voltage switch products? Our client has an immediate need for a talented and experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of innovative high-voltage switch products, ensuring their functionality and optimal performance. About the Role: Design and Development: You will be responsible for preparing detail drawings, layouts, and sketches of parts and equipment used in the production of high-voltage switch products. BOM Creation: You will create accurate Bills of Material for assemblies and sub-assemblies. Order Processing: You will review and process orders for production. Technical Analysis: You will perform necessary electrical, mechanical, and structural calculations to support the design process. Continuous Improvement: You will initiate and implement changes to existing drawings as directed by Senior Designers or Application Engineers, ensuring the technical integrity of the designs. Who You Are: A seasoned professional: You possess at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong emphasis on creating drawings using Solidworks. A Solidworks Expert: You are highly proficient in Solidworks and possess a strong understanding of its capabilities. Proficient in AutoCAD: You are also proficient in AutoCAD. A Mechanical Specialist: You have a strong understanding of mechanical principles and their application in product design. Preferred Qualifications: Experience erecting switch products for testing purposes. Experience processing orders and drawings related to Engineering Services. Additional Info: Term: This is a 6-month temp to perm opportunity. Pay Range: Between $23.00 and $27.00 per hour depending on prior experience. Ready to join our team?
