Selectek is hiring: Mechanical Designer in Cartersville

Selectek has an immediate need for a Mechanical Designer that is interested in a long-term role helping with the designing and production of shop drawings for a fabrication team. The role will be responsible for producing fabrication drawings and mechanical equipment layouts using IronCad, but experience with any 3D cad software will be considered (Inventor, Solidworks etc). Candidates will receive information from the sales team and be asked to take existing standard models and detail out the necessary custom adjustments to the model to create the shop drawings to be used in the fabrication shop. Work will also include BOM’s, transferring files for the fabrication team’s plasma cutter, and some basic ducting layouts. This position requires a previous background in a manufacturing setting working with a fabrication team. Required: 3D CAD Experience 3+ years mechanical drafter/designer Ability to create shop drawings for fabrication team Experience interacting and adjusting drawings based on feedback from the fabrication team Preferred: IronCad Experience Sheet Metal Experience Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology Sponsorship: No Pay range: $23/hour - $26/hour ($47,840 - $55,000 annual salary) Term of assignment: 6 month temp to perm Pay method when direct: Hourly Eligible for OT Location of job:  Cartersville, GA Hours and shift: 7AM – 4PM but can offer flex start time as long as it is consistent Work From Home/Remote: No Overtime: Not often Travel: None Work attire: Business Casual/Casual.
