Job Description
Our busy event production company is seeking a full-time 3D Designer to join our team. You would be a part of our Art Team, working alongside our Graphics Manager. You will help to craft and execute projects – from design and layout to final concept for 3D layout and design as well as animation. The position would be an in-office position and includes competitive pay, a healthcare plan, and 401K benefits.
The position's responsibilities include:
Using 3D modeling, texture mapping, and other techniques to create graphics, visual effects, and layouts.
Collaborating with other artists and production teams to discuss ongoing projects.
Understanding the project requirements and conceptualizing creative ideas.
Creating storyboards to visualize scenes and create a realistic environment for live events, media kits, and other visual effects.
Receiving feedback from directors, designers, and clients, and editing your creations based on the comments received.
Reviewing 3D arts and recommending improvements.
Creating 3D sculpts and assets to meet artistic standards.
Troubleshooting any problems that arise during work on a project.
Work with the Creative team to help execute the vision of a variety of projects
Work within the Creative team to conceptualize high-impact concept designs
Create and manage direction/vision for a given project(s) with the team assigned
Play a role in ideation during brainstorming sessions with the creative team, the production team, and client services regarding possible projects for a variety of clients
Work alongside other designers of all levels and types to cohesively reach a design goal
Manage him/herself to deliver multiple designs for multiple projects in a given week
Clearly articulate design ideas in internal meetings
Maintain and strengthen primary design skills while learning and adding disciplines to your repertoire
Consistently produce client and production-ready work
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a 3D design-related field or equitable professional experience
A design background with 3-5 years of 3D design experience is required
Proficiency with Vectorworks, Lumion, and other 3D design programs
A portfolio demonstrating the previously mentioned design capabilities is required.
Ability to communicate big ideas and key themes/stories through sketching and graphics
A demonstrated working knowledge of Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite is required
The ability to speak in groups and to clearly articulate design ideas is a requirement
An eye for composition, realism, texture, color, and lighting
Must be a team player, and problem solver, with a can-do attitude
Must have a strong willingness to learn
Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Working Environment/Physical Demands:
