Job Summary:
The Marketing Specialist helps develop, execute and monitor marketing projects across a variety of channels to promote Erlanger its programs, product lines and services to a variety of stakeholders including physicians, patients and the general public. Duties will include assisting with marketing/advertising projects, special event planning, and creation, production, and proofing of collateral and advertising materials. Position will assist the Digital Marketing Manager with monitoring all Erlanger and Children's Social Media channels. The Marketing Specialist position will report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with the Marketing and Public Relations staff.
Education:
Required:
Associate's Degree or equivalent of two years in college (could include specialized professional training) with focus on Marketing, Communications or other related field
Preferred:
College degree in Marketing, Communications or other related field
Experience:
Required:
One year's experience in a Marketing-related position. Proficient in computer skills along with a full understanding of clerical work.
Preferred:
One year paid experience in a Marketing position in healthcare.

Department Position Summary:
Working under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will use multiple communications tools to promote Erlanger its programs, events, product lines and services to diverse stakeholders, including the patients, general public, physicians and referring healthcare providers. Responsibilities include:
o Working closely with the Marketing and Public Relations personnel in planning and executing PR/Marketing programs
o Working as part of a team to provide creative direction for all Erlanger marketing efforts
o At the direction of and in cooperation with, the Director of Marketing and Marketing personnel, working with graphic designers, printers, photographers, ad agencies and other production companies including assisting with logistical and clerical details - to produce advertising and other promotional materials
o Displaying intellectual curiosity and interest in the news of our community, our nation and internationally, especially as relates to healthcare
o Manage the marketing plans for smaller service lines
o Building and maintaining effective communication with hospital departments and physicians in order to assist with marketing efforts.
o Effectively using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in producing documents, maintaining databases and producing presentations
o Assist in planning and supporting community events such as health fairs
o Answering the phone for the PR/Marketing department in support of the administrative assistant
o Assist with monitoring all Erlanger and Childrens Social Media Channels and working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager
o Other duties as assigned
