Independent Contracted Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)

Healing Love Music Studios empowers music therapists to create freedom in their careers by running their practice while we ensure their clientele stays full. We partner with the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services (BDDS) to provide impactful services to needy clients.

• Position Type: Independent Contractor
• Pay: $37 per 1-hour session

Job Duties:

• Provide music therapy sessions for individuals with developmental disabilities following Medicaid Waiver requirements.
• Develop and implement personalized music therapy treatment plans for clients.
• Document session notes, progress, and treatment outcomes in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain open communication with clients, families, and support teams regarding treatment progress and updates.
• Travel to client homes, community spaces, or other designated locations to provide services.
• Ensure compliance with BDDS and Medicaid Waiver regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must hold and maintain the MT-BC credential from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Medicaid Waiver services.
• Must provide own musical instruments required for therapy sessions.
• Must hold professional liability insurance and car insurance.
• Must possess reliable transportation for travel to client locations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
