As part of our National Security Sector's Capture Excellence team, you will contribute to strategic bids that are crucial to our mission. The Senior Proposal Writer will spearhead the creation of clear, compliant, and engaging proposal sections and volumes. You will collaborate closely with Capture Executives, Solution Architects, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to craft win strategies and articulate comprehensive technical, management, transition, and experience solutions. Success in this role requires the ability to interpret complex concepts and translate them into well-structured, persuasive content aligned with evaluation criteria in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
This is a hybrid position, involving both telework and onsite work at our facilities in the DC Metro area when necessary for proposal efforts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with Solution Architects and SMEs to document concepts, craft responses, and express solutions, translating complex ideas into accessible text.
- Team up with Capture Managers, Solution Architects, Program Managers, and Volume Leads to ensure proposal responses align with requirements and standards.
- Take ownership of specific proposal volumes, leading the development process and guiding supporting writers to achieve high-quality submissions by deadlines.
- Actively engage in brainstorming sessions to relay and shape solutions, strategies, approaches, experiences, win themes, and differentiators.
- Incorporate feedback from reviewers, manage comments effectively, and track the status of all reviewer inputs.
- Produce compelling, compliant, and articulate proposal sections that resonate with evaluators.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance proposal quality and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with over 12 years of professional experience or a Master's Degree with over 10 years of professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience crafting proposals for Federal Government solicitations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an understanding of SharePoint repositories.
- Outstanding writing, communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- A strong work ethic and desire for ongoing growth and excellence.
- A proven history of producing high-quality, successful proposals.
- Experience writing and leading technical, management, transition, staffing, and/or corporate experience & past performance volumes for complex projects.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of this role.
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in a competitive Federal Government proposal landscape.
- Experience with traditional video, live orals, or proposal demonstrations.
- Ability to mentor and guide others to ensure consistency across diverse authors.

Pay Range: $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
