The Amp Dept. Technician assembles and tests amplifier racks per client or operations coordinator specification within the scope of Sound Image quality standards.

The Audio IT Technician maintains and Deploys Computers /Network and Servers. This includes updates, repairs and integration and deployment of rental IT equipment.


The primary focus for this position is Amp Department Tech while maintaining full working knowledge of Audio IT Tech and acting as backup and overflow for our Primary Audio IT department head.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with audio equipment.
  • General understanding of Microsoft Office programs with the willingness to improve knowledge base moving forward.
  • Trade or technical school in related subjects.
  • Soldering or mechanical experience is a plus.



RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES FOR AMPLIFIER TECH.

  1. Assemble and inspect amplifier racks per specification.
  2. Run audio equipment tests.
  3. Clean and inspect racks and electronics.
  4. Use ERP system to locate necessary patching and accessories.
  5. Provide assistance with cycle counts and late returns.
  6. Pack amplifiers and equipment for safe transport outside of racks.
  7. Contribute to the overall activities of the ACS or other departments as may be required from time to time. Including training of new employees and roadies.
  8. Proofread and edit PA diagrams when appropriate.
  9. Conform Amps IP to Clair Global Standard

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES FOR AUDIO TECH.

  1. Intermediate hardware and software knowledge
  2. Attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy to ensure production at expected quality and quantity levels.
  3. Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot

  1. Clean and maintain rental computers.
  2. Organize storage of files from returning computers.
  3. Image or default returning computers and networking equipment.
  4. Repair computers and networking equipment damaged on the road.
  5. Build computers for various touring applications (e.g. recording, loudspeaker management).
  6. Assist R&D with updating and improving touring network and IT systems.
  7. Maintain stock of non-inventoried items and complete purchasing requisitions when necessary.
  8. Assist ACS and WiFi departments in maintaining accurate touring inventory of computers and applicable additional components.
  9. Provide technical support for tour crews in regard to rented computer systems.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
  11. Conforming all IOT to Clair Global IP 10.240 Standard
