Job Summary/Description:

The Broadcast Production Manager is responsible for supporting various aspects of Raycom Sports' Production & Technical Operations, including transmission, media and content ingest and delivery, quality control, equipment installation, maintenance & repair. The position is Charlotte, NC-based.

Duties/responsibilities include (but not limited to):

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (include the following. Other duties may be assigned):
* Manage and Coordinate production support for a variety of broadcasts and broadcast partners
* Crew Scheduling - Including Engineers, Drivers, Technical Managers, and broadcast production staff
* Invoice Approval for Vendors
* Manage and book travel for required personnel using travel software and systems
* Coordinate Shipping of equipment and supplies
* Administration and coordination of equipment maintenance
* Coordinate Venue Logistics for productions - Production and Satellite Truck Parking, Power, Phones, Internet, Camera Positions, Announce Positions, Crew Parking, Credentials, Covid Requirements, Meal Location, Production Schedule
* Manage production vendors that support live broadcasts
* Event Technical Survey and Report Document Preparation, Distribution & Revisions
* Support special projects as assigned
* Flexible work schedule, including working days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency on-call
* Administration and coordination of equipment maintenance
* Travel required
* Percent of travel required: 15%

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supervises temporary employees, independent contractors, and daily hired staff in the engineering, production, and operations departments daily.
* Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws. *Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications/Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in broadcasting and/or remote production experience

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
A current valid driver's license and a good driving record required

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient in Company-provided hardware and software. Microsoft, Suite, Google Suite... and Travel booking software and systems

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to live up to the physically demanding activities of this "broadcast and production" type of position.
