Your Role as a Design Project Manager

As a Design Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering transportation projects with precision and innovation. Your responsibilities include:

Leading roadway planning, geometric design, and modeling using Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
Ensuring designs adhere to state and federal specifications and requirements.
Overseeing project deliverables, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
Conducting quality control reviews for designs and submittals.
Supporting all aspects of project submittals, from utility coordination to public involvement.
Building strong client relationships through proactive communication and technical expertise.
Driving business development by securing projects and expanding Civil Science's regional presence.
Mentoring and guiding junior staff to achieve project excellence.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a leader who combines technical skill with a passion for collaboration and innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Idaho or eligibility for reciprocity.
A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
7+ years of experience in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Technical leadership abilities and strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Expertise in transportation design-related software, including Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
Familiarity with Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) design processes and specifications.

Preferred Skills:

- Proven success in business development and marketing efforts.
- Experience writing proposals, managing contracts, and liaising with clients.
- Knowledge of utility coordination, environmental mitigation, and public involvement processes.

Location: Idaho Falls, ID
Compensation: $85,000 - $145,000 per year, depending on experience
