Position Overview:

We are seeking a Residential Designer with a strong passion for creating exceptional custom homes and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in residential design. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming concepts into detailed, buildable plans, working collaboratively with the owner and lead designers to bring each client’s vision to life. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, creative professional who enjoys balancing technical precision with thoughtful, functional design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Designing Homes: Take initial sketches provided by the owner and transform them into precise, buildable plans using BIM software (we use ArchiCAD).
• Collaboration: Work closely with our lead designers and the owner to ensure the design aligns with clients’ vision, lifestyle, and needs.
• Project Management: Manage your workload efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain our firm’s high standards of quality.
• Attention to Detail: Develop floor plans and design documents that consider every aspect of the home, from aesthetics to functionality.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3 years of daily, hands-on residential design experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with BIM software (experience with ArchiCAD is a plus, but not required). Experience with Twinmotion is a plus, but not required. 
• Understanding of Construction: Extensive knowledge of how homes are built, including structure, materials, and functionality.
• Work Ethic: A motivated individual who thrives under deadlines and is willing to work hard to exceed expectations.
• Client-Focused: Comfortable engaging directly with clients to ensure their satisfaction throughout the design process.
