Description
The Library Page position is a part-time, entry-level role and is non-benefited. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in playing a key role in the library's daily operations. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work 14-19 hours per week, including days, evenings, and Saturdays, to meet the library's scheduling needs.
Under the general supervision of library staff, Library Pages perform routine tasks to maintain the organization of the library collections, including the shelving, sorting, and filing of books, magazines, audiovisual materials, and other library materials. Pages also clean and mend library materials, help set-up for various Library programs, assist in the opening and closing of the Library building for public access, and perform other clerical tasks as needed.

- Handle, lift, and transport library materials (up to 50 lbs.), including fully loaded book carts.
- Learn and apply detailed procedures and library organization methods to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Operate library tools and machines safely and efficiently.
- Maintain visual acuity to efficiently locate and shelve materials.
- Work effectively with fellow Library Pages and staff in a team environment.
