As an Imaging Library Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine computer operations for the Image Library using Hospital Information Systems (H.I.S.), Radiology Information Systems (R.I.S.) and PACS (Picture Archival Communication Systems). The Imaging Library Specialist will process and provide customer service with imaging releases, imaging importation, imaging media requests and other Imaging related activity. In addition, you will maintain files (including mammography and general files) along with processing imaging releases for patient discharge, patient transfer, and research imaging anonymization requests. Also, you will process reconciliation of prior imaging with mammography schedules by contacting outside facilities and patients.A caregiver in this position works days/evenings/nights/weekends from 10:30PM - 7:00AM, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, or 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. There are three shift options available. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Process and provide customer service with imaging releases, imaging importation, imaging media requests and other imaging related activity.Maintain, store and deliver mammography and general files.Process imaging releases for patient discharge, patient transfer, and research imaging anonymization requests.Process reconciliation of prior imaging with mammography schedules and contact outside facilities and patients.Import and export images and imaging information using computer operations and media.Digitize analog images into PACS.Process image requests from patients, providers and caregivers using RIS, HIS and other computer applications.Maintain all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance standards regarding Protected Health Information (P.H.I.).Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:High school diploma or GED.Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.Typing speed of 30WPM with termediate tech literacy skills.
