Position Summary
The Departmentof Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of New Mexico (UNM)Health Sciences Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ComprehensiveOphthalmologist to join our expanding team.This recruitment is open to candidates at anyrank and track, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidlygrowing department within a renowned academic institution.
The successfulcandidate will have completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program andwill be expected to develop a thriving clinical practice within the UNMHospital Eye Clinic.This role includesshared responsibilities for on-call duties and active participation in theeducation of medical students and residents.We are seeking individuals with a strongcommitment to clinical excellence, education, and research within an academicsetting.

Qualifications

- Completion ofan Ophthalmology Residency Program
- Boardcertified/eligible in Ophthalmology
- Eligible forlicensure in New Mexico
- Eligible towork in the U.S.
PreferredQualifications for position:
- Experience inclinical education
- Experience inclinical research
- Experience withcomprehensive ophthalmology and ophthalmic procedures commonly performed bycomprehensive ophthalmologists
- Experience withbasic medical retina and pediatric ophthalmology care
- A demonstratedcommitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, and to servinga broadly diverse community
