Position Summary/Objective:
New Mexico United seeks to hire a Videographer dedicated to the creation of long and short-form video content and other digital content. This person works under the supervision of the Marketing Manager. The Videographer will work closely with the Marketing team to carry out short and long-term objectives of the marketing department. This person will collaborate with individuals and groups across the company and community while building relationships to elicit and document the heart of every story. A successful Videographer will be a self-starter in managing projects, advancing timelines, and recognizing important situations to capture individuals and events that define New Mexico United's story.
KEY Responsibilities:
•Produce raw video and audio assets for a feature-length documentary of the 2020 season.
•Document everyday happenings of the New Mexico United front office, team, and coaching staff.
•Routinely interview individuals and aggregate stories within and outside of the company.
•Ideation of content and identification of community stories that are aligned with United's mission
statement and objectives.
•Maintain and organize the storage of video assets collected throughout the year.
•Document the progression of the team's season on, off, and around the pitch.
•Routinely strategize and analyze with the president and marketing manager the direction and messaging of
the video content.
•Assist or lead in various video shoots.
•Document the full spectrum of emotional and ultimately, defining moments of New Mexico United's
story.
•Build relationships with every member of the front office, technical staff and community, in turn
opening doors to deeper tellings of their stories.
•Meet the everchanging demands of the team's storyline to capture the story of the 2020 season
from beginning to end.
•Assist in compiling and refining footage for the final documentary piece.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree from accredited College or University, or equivalent industry experience.
•2-3 years' experience shooting, editing, audio recording, and post-production.
•Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
•Extensive working knowledge of DSLR and Cinema camera systems.
•Experience interviewing individuals.
•Willingness to meet the subjects of stories wherever and whenever is necessary to tell the full story.
•Enthusiasm for learning, unlearning, and relearning.
•Ability to self-manage and self-motivate.
•Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
•Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment interacting with multiple departments.
•Ability to work long, irregular hours as dictated by scheduling.
•Available to work evenings and weekend events when necessary.
