Essential Functions: What you'll do:
  • Produce technical designs using Revit and AutoCAD, produce files necessary for CNC production
  • Ensure accuracy of dimensions, and ease of use and understanding of technical designs, provides all necessary technical information necessary to manufacture the products without further clarification
  • Will record any recommendations for clear manufacturing process improvement
  • Designs structural components as per necessary code so that engineering stamp process is simplified
  • Questions manufacturing methods by optimizing structural components while not compromising on safety
  • Works in conjunction with professional engineers to help optimize our designs
  • Recommends engineering approval for any project he/she assesses as risky & prepares pre-sale attachments details and concrete bases
  • Produces drawings according to standards, specifications and engineering requirements of customers
  • Problem solves with project managers and design managers on methods of fabrication and/or installation
METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
  • Spends time in shop learning about how product is manufactured to help identify potential improvements in material and/or assembly, & works with external suppliers to seek out better materials for our product designs
  • In conjunction with the manufacturing and estimation teams, will seek out the proper manufacturing methods for the projects, always questioning the efficiency of such method.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
  • Seeks to find more efficient manufacturing methods based on materials, known plant processes and other Pattison ID manufacturing methods
  • Always questions existing processes for efficiency and accuracy

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate telephone, type and operate computer and mouse.
  • The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
