UX Designer

Aquent Talent, Campbell, CA, United States

Our client operates in a dynamic, startup-like environment that emphasizes innovation, flexibility, agility, scalability, and customer-centricity. As a global team, we collaborate closely with both internal and external groups to develop enterprise solutions. The team is composed of individuals who are enthusiastic, friendly, and supportive, with a mix of experience levels and tenures. We are committed to fostering an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing, mentorship, and high-quality work. We are excited to build and launch new solutions from the ground up together as one unified team. Given our rapid growth, we are currently seeking a UX Designer to drive the vision, definition, and design of enterprise software and services across a variety of devices.

In this highly visible role, you will tackle some of the most challenging opportunities in the tech sector today. Your toolkit will include wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, and specifications to communicate design thinking to leadership, engineering, and product partners at every phase of product development.

You will be part of a customer-focused team; occasional overtime is required to accommodate customer working hours and to collaborate with offshore engineering teams during Asia-friendly hours (after 5PM Pacific Time). Successful performance in this role may lead to an extension of the position and consideration for conversion to a full-time employee.

This role is both challenging and rewarding, providing significant impact on our business through the invention and delivery of customer-focused solutions at scale. You must be responsive, flexible, and capable of thriving in an open and collaborative environment. Leadership in projects and navigating complexity and ambiguity are critical aspects of this position.

  • An accessible online portfolio.
  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers to understand technical requirements and translate these into user experience requirements.
  • Experience managing end-to-end project cycles: defining problems, establishing customer experience outcomes, building workflows, and evaluating prototypes.
  • Familiarity with Material UI (React) component libraries and experience managing, scaling, and adding to design systems.
  • Proven track record of building, testing, and shipping digital products.
  • Agile development methodologies experience and a practice of iterating designs based on user/partner feedback.
  • Proficiency in prototyping user journeys using tools like Figma and ProtoPie.
  • Systems and mobile application design experience.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and writing skills.
  • Experience presenting design work to user experience teams, product and engineering teams, and executives for review and feedback.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and how design translates into code.
  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.
