We are seeking a Hospital Liaison for Aventura at Prospect

The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated and ambitious person who is devoted to developing and maintaining successful relationships with hospital case managers, discharge planners, physicians and key healthcare decision makers in the region. The candidate must have strong communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to boost census and grow the Aventura Health Group brand.

Responsibilities

1) Acts as liaison between company and outside community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage referral activities.

2) Work in highly competitive environments and visit territory accounts daily

3) Manage and coordinate the inquiry, referral, and admission process as well as completing necessary paperwork related to each process, i.e.: communicate acceptance, send updates when needed and communicate internally regarding patient status daily.

4) Monitor business contacts, referrals, admissions, re-admissions and dispositions and communicate changes in trends or referral patterns to appropriate staff and management.

5) Assists the internal team and administrator in preparing and implementing marketing goals and objectives.

6) Educate hospital staff, including Emergency Department physicians and staff of skilled nursing facilities clinical capabilities

7) Visit and following up with patients and family members at bedside to build honest relationships and answer questions while educating on clinical capabilities, activities, amenities, etc.

8) Be a primary driver of census.

9) Be an expert on Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurances

10) Interact in a manner which is professional, respectful, positive, customer-focused and that promotes trust.

Qualifications

  • Experience in nursing home admissions required.
  • Demonstrated sales experience in senior living or related healthcare environment preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare marketing, LTC business and development strategies or be a registered nurse with marketing experience.
  • Must be an expert working in highly competitive environments, navigating multiple applications to source patients, communicate acceptance, analyze referrals and updates, internal systems to communicate internally regarding patient status.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other insurances and guidelines as pertains skilled nursing
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and method of transportation
