Assistant Director Marketing & Fan Engagement

Using a multi-disciplined approach, this position coordinates and disseminates marketing and promotional efforts for assigned sports.

Serve as the primary marketing and promotions lead for FIU women's basketball, men's soccer, volleyball and softball which includes but is not limited to, the fan experience, in-game promotions and game scripts (while assisting with other sports as needed during the academic year). Serves as on-field game day producer for all home FIU football games, in support of the Assistant AD of Marketing. Supervises marketing game day staff on all FIU women's basketball, men's soccer, volleyball and softball game days. Assists the Assistant AD of Marketing in supervision of marketing interns and staff, including the Spirit Coordinator. Assists the Assistant AD of Marketing with new strategies to engage fans at all FIU games and events. Acts as liaison between community groups, university departments, alumni, and other organizations to aid FIU Athletics marketing and sales efforts. Partners with all FIU affiliated groups including booster clubs, alumni clubs, student groups, and other University contacts to drive awareness and support for all sports. Serves as a University card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University credit card policies and procedures. Fosters and maintains strong working relations with all FIU student groups and organizations on campus. Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position. Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three (3) years of appropriate experience; OR a Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one (1) year of appropriate experience; OR seven (7) years of appropriate experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
