Job Summary:
We are seeking a Design Drafter II to join our team. The Design Drafter carries out assignments associated with the research, design, and development of company products.

We are seeking a Design Drafter II to join our team. The Design Drafter carries out assignments associated with the research, design, and development of company products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Investigates and procures all data required to develop an engineering design.
- Solves mechanical and fabrication problems covering various assigned projects.
- Prepares preliminary sketches and schematic diagrams for product development.
- Employs the best combination of preliminary information and contributing data to develop final designs.
- Thoroughly familiar with part numbering systems, blueprint files, and drafting procedures.
- Coordinates work of designer/drafters assigned to project.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in all phases of drafting work including circuit board layout & design and electronics manufacturing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Drafting or Engineering preferred, or 2 years college or equivalent in applicable trade school and relevant experience.
- Must be able to use AutoCAD to prepare and develop mechanical drawings.
- Experience with Raster Design, Autodesk Inventor, Altium Designer and Adobe Acrobat Pro preferred.
- Fundamental knowledge of the manufacturing process, electronics, components and document creation.
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient with Microsoft and Excel.
- Must be familiar with machine shop practices.
- Ability to work independently and be a team player.
