Community Marketing Coordinator (6 Month Contract)

OVERVIEW
The Community Marketing Coordinator (6-month contract) will drive Pedalheads' growth in Los Angeles by building relationships, generating awareness, and executing on-the-ground marketing strategies. This full-time, hybrid role (40 hrs/week) requires work during business hours, evenings, and weekends. The Community Marketing Coordinator will focus on increasing visibility and engagement through high-impact tactics, helping make Pedalheads a local household name. The role involves networking, event planning, and seeking partnerships. Prior experience in event marketing, local marketing, sales, or customer service is a plus.
Community Outreach
- Develop relationships with schools, Parent Advisory Councils (PACs), local media, businesses and other potential partners and implement programming to drive registrations.
- Research, organize, and attend appropriate local events to connect with families.
- Research, schedule and complete marketing drops at targeted locations.
- Be a market expert and provide information that can help the Pedalheads marketing team better understand and communicate with the community and potential customers.
- Track and report on Community Marketing initiatives.
- Submit requests for materials to the Head Office marketing team.
- Liaise with the Marketing Team.
- Coordinate when staff are required to work as event support.
- Discover and propose new marketing tactics to post on local community and third-party platforms (ie. Websites, Facebook Groups, Social media pages, community bulletins.)
- Provide social media content from events the Pedalheads marketing team
- Suggest key influencers among the local parent community that would help promote the Pedalheads brand.

Qualifications
Experience/Skills
- Proven working experience in event marketing, sales or customer service role.
- Some marketing experience
- A background in sports or children's programming is an asset but not required
- Has worked efficiently in a hybrid work environment
- Has a valid and current drivers license and is comfortable driving around LA. Access to a vehicle is an asset.
- Must have the ability to pick up, load, transport, carry, and set up event materials.
Duration & Wage
This position is a 6-month contract, full-time, 40 hours per week from February 2025 - July 2025. This role will be hybrid to allow for on-site and event work. Must be available to work regular business hours, evenings, and weekends. Community Marketing Coordinator Hourly Wage: $25.00 - $27.00 /hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation and benefits based on experience.
