Tactical Work
- Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of Roberts Civil Engineering clients in need of funding.
- Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies, including but not limited to HUD, DCA, USDA, DOT, EDA, FEMA, and One Georgia.
- Draft grant applications and supporting documents based on the priorities of the client and the requirements of the funding agency.
- Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted applications.
- Maintain records and provide support where needed in the pursuit of new contracts for grant application and administration services.
Strategic Work
- Work closely with the Roberts Civil Engineering Municipal Director, Project Managers, Program Managers, Grant Coordinator, and client representatives to submit competitive grant applications and provide post-funding administration services.
- Maintain and cultivate positive relationships with all targeted funding agencies (i.e. local, state, or national), their representatives, and other stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in English, communications, creative writing or a related area
- A minimum of two years' experience in grant writing (required)
- Excellent knowledge of the grant application and administration process
- Ability to study and understand programs, requirements, and priorities of funding agencies
- Strong research skills and knowledge of information sources
- Multitasking, communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential matters with the utmost integrity
- Working knowledge of computers; adept in Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Additional Information
- Role is on site and may require travel, within a 60-90 mile radius of the Baxley office, and attend conferences at different locations within GA as needed.
