CREATIVE DIRECTOR – HEALTHCARE: St. Petersburg

We’re a creative-driven, full-service boutique agency with big name clients like Verizon, Mastercard and Johnson & Johnson. You’re a conceptual creative director with strong digital chops and a portfolio that most would envy.

We’re growing like crazy and have an immediate need to add a strong, team player to our healthcare team. Here’s the download:

 We need a hands-on, creative director located in our St. Petersburg, FL office who will be responsible for building an amazing team and managing (staff and freelance) art directors, UX designers, motion designers and writers. The best fit would be someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for effective communication design, strong attention to detail, and a natural born leader of multi-disciplined, collaborative teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All candidates must be able to work hybrid / onsite in our St. Petersburg office, currently 2x week with a goal to be 3x week in 2025.
  • Creative lead for multi-channel B2B and B2E brand initiatives – print, web, mobile, social, video, and experiential in healthcare industry.
  • Generate innovative and breakthrough ideas for clients.
  • Drive the creative aspects of new business pitches from conception through final presentation.
  • Inspire, oversee and directly mentor creative staff.
  • Explain, internally and externally, rationale for creative choices.
  • Ensure the agency’s visual and interaction design work is on par with the best in the industry.
  • Coordinate with Strategy and Account to ensure client understanding/buy-in and ensure alignment with business objectives of the client.
  • Work directly with Project Management and Account to ensure accurate and consistent estimates, budgets, contracts, timing and planning.
  • Create lasting client relationships based on value, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Stay current on emerging trends in online consumer behavior, technologies and design.
  • Contribute to insights and strategic direction of Creative Briefs.
  • Remain focused on the metrics and results of our projects and help guide optimization efforts after launch.
  • Keep the team continually engaged on profitable endeavors (with the assistance of Operations) to drive revenue growth.
  • Help perform staff evaluations and motivate for excellence.
  • Help evolve internal process as it relates to the workflow of creative projects.
  • Represent the agency as a creative thought leader.

REQUIRED:

  • At least 5 years in a creative managerial role at an agency, with some in-house studio/agency experience allowed
  • Direct leadership involvement and demonstrated design/stewardship on significant brand initiatives for world-class clients.
  • Strong portfolio of conceptual and design work.
  • Management experience with creative and technical teams.
  • Solid, hands-on experience creating impactful visual design while working within an established brand system.
  • Subject matter expertise in digital, video, print, and social mediums and their potential to express ideas.
  • Versed in principles of user-centered design, including information architecture, UI design, and overall usability for Websites and applications.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and public speaking). Comfortable presenting to corporate executives at Fortune 100 brands.
  • Experience with Adobe Workfront a plus.
