UX Designer (e-commerce) Job at Solomon Page in San Jose

Our client, a global e-commerce company, is looking for a UX Designer to work on-site (5 days) in San Jose, CA. This is a temporary engagement. As a UX Designer, you'll be a key member of a dynamic product design team supporting responsive web initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Support the end-to-end UX design process for responsive web, mobile and native apps, from concept ideation to final implementation
• Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions, ensuring a deep understanding of user needs, pain points and behaviors
• Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate your design concepts and solutions
• Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of design solutions
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine designs based on user insights and data
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in mobile and native app design, and actively share your knowledge and insights with the team
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices within the organization, fostering a culture of empathy and user advocacy

Qualifications:

• Able to work on-site (5 days) in San Jose, CA
• 3+ years of proven experience as a UX designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work for responsive web, mobile and native apps
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. UX design, human-computer interaction, graphic design)
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma or Adobe XD
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
• Experience in conducting user research, including interviews, usability testing and surveys
• Strong knowledge of mobile app design guidelines and best practices for iOS and Android platforms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and solutions
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, juggling multiple projects and priorities
