About the Company
- Our client is a leading men’s lifestyle DTC brand looking for a product-obsessed, highly creative and innovative Senior Designer to help grow the outdoor and active brand portfolio. This Senior Designer will work closely with the Design Director and key stakeholders to create a best-in-class product assortment that captures market trends, the latest technologies, and inspires the customer. We are looking for someone who is passionate about all aspects of the outdoor and active industry with a keen eye for design, construction, and technical fabrics. Will be responsible for developing concept through to execution across all categories. This role is an in-office work environment and involves relocation to the south. The client will assist in relocation for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Drive the product design process from ideation, concept, fabric development, lab dip selection, sketching, tech packs, proto review, fit review, and final Collaborate with PLM and Merchandising to create a best-in-class assortment that resonates with the customer with support from data and market trends Continue to push and innovate the product offering through best-in-class fabrics and trims Partner with the Product Development & Production team to ensure design vision is executed while hitting key milestones and metrics like delivery and gross margin Lead weekly fittings with Technical Design to ensure fit, quality, and construction standards meet internal standards Travel domestically and overseas for market research, sample shopping, technical fabric research, and trend research for active and outdoors Work with leadership and key stakeholders to shape the long-term vision and strategy of our activewear brands
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in designing men's apparel BA, BFA, or BS in Design (or equivalent) required Experience with technical Outerwear, Activewear, or Outdoor Extremely well versed in activewear construction, fabrics, and trims with a pulse on new market innovations Highly creative and driven and able to stay extremely organized in a fast-paced environment Ability to travel domestically and overseas for development, samples, and factory collaboration Experience in crafting the design vision for multiple categories and brands Deadline driven and obsessed with the details Strong communication skills and experience working with international vendors Highly proficient at Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and working in PLM Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally
Pay range and compensation package
- The salary range for this role is 120k+ based on experience.
