This program encompasses written, visual, digital, and electronic communications. The role also involves collaborating with management to develop and implement organizational communication strategies, market branding initiatives, and impactful information campaigns. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $79,000 - $127,200 (Annual Rate). Department Description The UCSF Department of Pediatrics is committed to excellence in research, education, and the clinical care of infants, children, and young adults. Our dedicated faculty have earned national and international recognition for their accomplishments and receive millions of dollars annually in extramural research funding to advance care for kids. The Department of Pediatrics is one of the largest and most complex departments in the School of Medicine, comprised of 18 fellowship programs, with over 150 fellows and residents. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Minimum 3 years of related experience. Knowledge of all aspects of communications, including strategic planning for various media venues, technical aspects and requirements of various venues, and most appropriate and effective applications. Knowledge and understanding of technical applications to effectively direct technical staff or personally perform technical work, including design concepts, various media, and applications. Knowledge of the organization, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices, infrastructure, and a strong knowledge of current affairs, and issues in higher education and/or health sciences. Solid skills to create, develop, and implement comprehensive long and short term strategic communications plans. Knowledge and skills to advise and consult with management to ensure delivery of the desired message to the target and/or broad general audiences. Solid written, verbal, interpersonal communications, active listening, and political acumen skills. Knowledge of location protocols and channels for communication internally and externally.
