JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Piping Designer serves as the primary designer for Coldstream Energy processing plants for the upstream and midstream oil and gas sector. Will work closely with Engineering department for execution and management of design documentation. The preferred candidate will have extensive experience with CADworx/AutoCAD and have a strong understanding of piping/package design, fabrication and the relevant codes & standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Responsible for the development and maintenance of 3D models / 2D drawings (Isometrics, P&IDs, General Arrangement, I&E drawings, etc.), based on the scope of delivery for Coldstream gas processing skids. Responsibility for the development and compilation of mechanical, instrumentation, systems, and process drawings. Development / configuration of smart 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings for complete gas processing packages (Isometrics, P&IDs, General Arrangement, I&E drawings, etc.). Design and specification of technical components, assemblies and systems using CAD software. Internal coordination with engineering disciplines and additional 3rd party drafting resources. Work closely with suppliers/fabricators/manufacturers for design optimization. Incorporate design changes/modifications as necessary based on inputs from clients, customers, and internal disciplines. Ability to comply with various industry standards and regulations. Development/standardization of sub-assembly components for package design optimization and bill of materials. Responsible for the review of engineering drawings and design changes and ensure adherence to established internal standards. Manage revision control on design iterations and required archiving of documentation. Review and analyze blueprints, sketches, engineering design documents and ability to convert marked up drawings into design changes in 2D/3D formats. Achieve goals for the timely compilation of deliverables and drawings packages.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Associate degree in Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, or Drafting Technology with 5+ years’ experience in drafting mechanical components, layouts, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and/or packaged skid units. Desired areas of expertise/experience include: Proficient in CADworx and AutoCAD. Understanding of manufacturing processes, industry codes and requirements. Design experience of gas processing equipment and fabrication. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Team-oriented, systematic and conscientious way of working. Ability to interpret engineering team inputs and convert into usable documentation. Excellent attention to detail good verbal communication. Self-directed and able to effective working hybrid work schedules. Physical Requirements: Visits to industrial production plants, construction sites and manufacturing facilities which may be in harsh climates and environments. Travel Requirements:
