Position Overview:
We are looking for a Technical Designer with expertise and understanding of fit, grading, technical construction and pattern and ability to spec both knit and woven garments.
Associate Technical Designer Responsibilities: Lead fit sessions using live model/body form to assess fit, proportion, and overall styling of garments Provide recommendations, note callouts, and log critiques to address all issues efficiently during Fit sessions, Add/update Be-product Accordingly · Ensure size and fit consistency within and across product categories Partner with Production and overseas offices to support quality and on-time delivery of products Manage fit and construction approval process with cross functional partners to meet all deadlines and raise issues to appropriate level for resolution in a timely manner Communicate and provide clear direction to overseas offices and factories on submits and approval status Special projects as assigned
Associate Technical Designer Qualifications: Must be proficient in Excel & Adobe Illustrator Strong sense of urgency and successful track record in a team-oriented environment Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and time management Verbal and written communication skills are crucial with the ability to communicate easily with overseas vendors. Associates degree in Patternmaking or Fashion related degree **Preferred 3-5 years equivalent experience.
