HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:


Success in this role will be measured in terms of your ability to manage overall strategy, build up your team, develop and improve processes, initiatives, and technologies to grow the agency’s overall media offering.

You are ultimately responsible for driving and developing direction for client business through premier thought leadership, campaign management, and media performance. A successful Senior Media Manager has comprehensive experience in managing digital marketing campaigns across several paid channels. They have proven experience in managing and developing a team of media managers. They are a leader/self-starter and understand a 360 approach to marketing, audience engagement, and industry innovation. This role reports to the Director, Paid Media.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Manage a portfolio of clients while empowering your team to achieve their objectives through effective campaign management. Responsibilities include comprehensive campaign planning, execution, ad copy development, quality assurance, testing, performance measurement, reporting, and continuous optimization. These efforts span across diverse platforms, including search (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads), social media (Meta Ads, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, etc.), and programmatic channels (Display, Native, CTV, DOOH, Audio, In-Game, etc.).
  • Lead and mentor peers and fellow team members, sharing your experience and ideas so all can learn and grow.
  • Educate direct reports to create tactical execution and documentation to support overall client/campaign strategy and goals.
  • Introduce new technologies, trends, media channels, resources, initiatives, and processes to improve media operations.
  • Consult senior managers and directors on outside industry/vertical trends.
  • Quickly evaluate, forecast, and implement strategic paid search, paid social, and programmatic campaigns designed to generate high-quality leads and exceed performance goals for agency clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring all builds and media plans stay on track. This means overseeing budgets and forecasts, evaluating and improving campaign effectiveness, and pinpointing new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Help team members manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously; develop and apply right-sized plans and efforts that balance productivity and performance.
  • Apply a highly analytical approach to our campaign planning and management; build hypotheses and test variables, optimize ad spend and drive efficiency.
  • Design and build custom reports and data analyses, joining multiple datasets together when needed to gain valuable views of performance. Identify and articulate key insights and recommendations to team, leadership, and clients.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of competitive market activities, identifying emerging trends and opportunities across paid search, paid social, and programmatic platforms. Stay updated on platform innovations, industry shifts, and advanced tactics, ensuring swift application of insights to optimize campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with agency teams (Client Services and SEO) as needed to build and manage integrated campaigns, analyze results, and share learnings across channels and programs.
  • Conduct product knowledge sessions quarterly across various teams as part of our training program and demonstrate your thought leadership in the field.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:


  • A can-do, self-motivated, and performance-driven personality. You are comfortable digging in and getting your “hands dirty” no matter the task or challenge.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing multiple campaigns across a full breadth of digital ad platforms including paid search, paid social, and programmatic.
  • 5+ years of digital advertising, paid media, and campaign management experience, with 2+ years executing large budget paid search, paid social and programmatic campaigns (>$100K/month) that generated leads or E-commerce results.
  • Experience in managing and developing multiple employees.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, performance-focused media agency or business environment. Adept at handling new challenges and changes with ease.
  • Highly analytical, yet agile mindset; proven experience improving response rates, campaign ROAS, and program effectiveness through A/B testing, conversion optimization, channel expansion, creative design, and more.
  • Ability to organize, trend and analyze large datasets with ease and accuracy. Knowledge of database fundamentals and data management best practices; adept at using advanced Excel functions – such as VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, nested formulas, conditional formatting, data delimiters, and various chart/graphs – to analyze performance and gain insights.
  • Experience with lead attribution, user tracking, and/or multi-touch measurement tools and methods to measure and optimize the effectiveness of funnel-aligned digital activities. Includes: pixel implementation, web analytics tools, site conversion event tracking, online/offline lead datasets, reporting and conversion API connections, and more.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects with ease, prioritizing when necessary. Skilled at using tools like Microsoft Planner to manage tasks, coordinate across teams, track deliverables, and streamline processes for efficiency,
  • Excellent writing, communication, and visual presentation skills. Use data to derive insights and present information and proposals clearly to leaders, clients, and partners.

  • Project management such as Microsoft Planner, Asana, Atlassian/Jira, Trello, Monday.com, or similar
  • Slack, MS Teams or other message and collaboration tools
