Position Overview

The Multimedia Production Manager oversees the Video Editors and Content team, who are responsible for producing, editing, and overseeing content and video creation across multiple platforms to engage and grow the firm. This leader oversees the creation of high-quality and compelling content for our multi-media campaigns. In addition to ensuring there is brand consistency across platforms, the manager should bring unique ideas to the table that align with our brand strategy and deliver on quality standards. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and attending off hours (including weekends and nights) events.



Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Video and Content Creators by providing guidance, support, performance management, and payroll to ensure high levels of productivity and morale
  • Oversee and support team member’s training and development
  • Facilitate team meetings and 1:1’s to review questions and any process updates
  • Project Management:
  • Work with Associate Creative Director and designers on ad hoc projects to include photographic mood boards and creative briefs
  • Collaborate with creative teams, clients, and other departments to define project goals, timelines and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and workflows are efficient
  • Participate in the creation of marketing/content calendars and detailed work plans
  • Oversee the work of third-party content partners, including being a port of contract for all freelance photographers and video production crews regarding studio setups, equipment and repairs
  • Track and report on production expenses, ensuring that the project stays within budget
  • Review all multimedia content to ensure it meets high-quality standards before delivery to clients or stakeholders
  • Accountable for maintaining brand consistency across all multimedia assets produced
  • Ensure that multimedia content is optimized for various platforms
  • Oversee the editing, mixing and final production
  • Manage the review and approval process, ensuring that final products are polished and meet technical specifications
  • Technical Oversight:
  • Ensure that all multimedia production tools and software are up to date and functional, as well as set up and packed away at the beginning and end of each day
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the production process
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to implement new techniques and tools that enhance production quality



Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and adept at brainstorming subject matters
  • Experience creating content for multiple platforms—linear, digital, and social
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, shoot, edit, and distribute content
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, OS X, Lightroom CC, Tethered capture, Capture One, MacOs, Photoshop



Minimum Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in multimedia production, communications, digital media, or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years experience managing multimedia teams
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Previous experience designing and implementing motion graphics into video
  • Experience with lighting and audio equipment preferred

  • Video Editors (2-3) and Content Team Leads (1-2)
