Position Overview The Head of Public Affairs & Public Relations at Truscott Rossman is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic vision and overseeing the delivery of innovative, results-oriented public affairs and public relations solutions for our clients. This role involves leading a dynamic team, collaborating with agency leadership to optimize capacity and resource allocation, and leveraging cutting-edge tools, including generative AI, to elevate the impact of our work. What you’ll be accountable for Lead Public Affairs / Public Relations Team Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of public affairs and public relations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability. Oversee strategic planning, campaign development, and message crafting to ensure clients receive impactful, results-driven solutions. Act as the agency’s top advisor on public affairs and public relations strategies, ensuring team members are equipped to deliver industry-leading services. Cultivate an environment that encourages creativity, professional growth, and collaboration, positioning the agency as a thought leader in the field. Work with Chief Strategy Officer to Assess Capacity and Assignments Collaborate closely with the Chief Strategy Officer to evaluate team capacity and optimize resource allocation across client accounts. Develop and implement processes for assigning work strategically, balancing team expertise and workload to maximize efficiency and results. Anticipate future staffing and skill needs based on client demands and market trends, proactively advising leadership on resource planning. Serve as a key partner in aligning organizational goals with team priorities, ensuring seamless delivery of services across all accounts. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience leading public affairs and public relations teams, delivering innovative strategies and measurable results while mentoring staff and managing complex client portfolios. Demonstrated ability to align public relations and public affairs strategies with organizational goals, anticipate trends, and drive growth through exceptional stakeholder management and business acumen. Proficiency in leveraging generative AI tools to enhance communication strategies, create innovative campaigns, and improve workflow efficiency for clients. Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Chief Strategy Officer.
