Summary: The Community Development Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of services to our customers, ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently and meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role involves advocating for customers’ needs, acting as the primary liaison between internal teams and end customers, managing critical incidents, and providing support to the Community Development team. The Community Development Manager also maintains accurate records, reports on order statuses, and utilizes technical tools to support service delivery processes. A strong commitment to safety, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential for success in this position. The Community Development Manager exercises significant independent judgement, problem solving, and discretion in the development and implementation of service delivery and customer support systems with minimal direct supervision. This individual should be able to communicate and work effectively with external service representatives and internal team members who possess a wide variety of backgrounds, personalities, and communication skills. This individual should be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment while effectively managing and motivating team members. This individual must be capable of working independently, as well as collaboratively with other Race team members across teams and levels of our organization. Communications and local communities, including homeowners’ associations, municipalities, property managers, and business groupsBuilds and maintains relationships with local government officials, utility companies, and community organizations to foster collaboration and support for Race Communications projectsAddresses community concerns, questions, and feedback about infrastructure projects, proactively managing public perception and handling complaints as they ariseOrganizes community outreach events, public meetings, and informational sessions to inform and educate residents about upcoming projects and service improvements Project Coordination and SupportCollaborates with internal teams such as Outside Plant (OSP), Field Operations, Engineering, and Permitting to ensure alignment on project goals and timelinesTracks project milestones, monitor progress, and communicate updates to both internal stakeholders and the community, managing expectations and resolving potential delaysAnticipates potential challenges and proactively communicate solutions to the community, minimizing disruptions and maintaining goodwillCoordinates with field teams to support smooth execution of installations, upgrades, or maintenance projects within local communities Conflict Resolution and Issue ManagementMediates any conflicts that arise between Race Communications and community members, property managers, or local government officialsQuickly addresses issues related to service disruptions, property access, or construction impacts, ensuring Race maintains a positive reputationProvides troubleshooting support and escalation pathways for community concerns, working with technical teams to ensure prompt resolution Reporting and DocumentationMaintains thorough documentation of community interactions, permits, regulatory compliance, and project statusPrepares reports for senior management on project progress, community feedback, and potential risks, including insights to inform future project planningTracks and reports on metrics related to community engagement and project success, measuring the impact of community relations efforts Brand
