Job Summary
The Radio Production Assistant will perform duties in the administration of communications programs and services to the organization. Duties include assisting management with the production of informational and public service announcements, equipment set up, and recording music for automatic play programs. Works closely with radio station volunteers.

Job Summary
The Radio Production Assistant will perform duties in the administration of communications programs and services to the organization. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain, setup, breakdown audio equipment utilized for community events.
- Assist management with the production of public service announcements; selects sounds, voices and music for announcement enhancement.
- Assist on air by disc-jockeys; with announcement spots ensuring proper dates are used and expired dates removed.
- Assist management with the production of automatic play programming; recording songs, announcements and checking timing of the automatic play programs meet established guidelines
- Assist in supervising disc-jockeys and volunteers; ensures proper training on use of equipment.
- Respond to general inquiries by telephone or in person; act as a representative of the department.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by supervisor or director.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Production equipment;
- Radio programming;
- Sound effects and timing;
- Customer service;
- Applicable federal, state, local rules and regulations;
- Yaqui culture, customs, resources and traditions and/or a willingness to learn.
Skills and Abilities:
- Use production equipment;
- Use proper English, grammar, punctuation and spelling;
- Create a variety of materials to be used on air;
- Compile data and information;
- Operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer and related software applications;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisor, management, Council members, and the public. Have ability to sufficiently exchange or convey information and receive verbal and written work instructions.
