Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below. Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. The Anduril Product Design & Research team designs for multiple form factors across Anduril's suite of products. We are changing the way our military works – from strategic commanders overseeing multiple missions to forward-deployed operators controlling autonomous systems. As a Product Designer focused on C2 (Command and Control) solutions, you will collaborate with experienced designers to create mission-critical features and workflows. You will have an opportunity to impact real-world operations as you learn to design novel interactions for human-to-machine control. From understanding user needs to implementing feedback, you will develop your design thinking skills while solving challenging problems in complex scenarios. Our design principles revolve around trust, safety, and intentionality. These principles guide our work, shape feedback in critiques, and define the bar we hold ourselves accountable to. What you’ll do
Work with your team to understand and contribute to product and design strategy in a highly technical domain. Execute design work across discovery, ideation, prototyping, and validation phases with guidance. Learn to present your work effectively using storytelling and data to communicate with stakeholders. Apply Matter Design System components and patterns while identifying opportunities for improvement. Balance immediate project needs while developing an understanding of longer-term strategic goals. Learn to consider how your features fit into broader end-to-end workflows and experiences. Design intuitive, delightful experiences that build operator trust in Anduril’s decentralized mesh networking capability. Build (and evangelize) your understanding of different personas who will leverage the mesh, ranging from end operators passing data across nodes to external developers building on the Lattice infrastructure. Required qualifications
2+ years of industry experience or equivalent portfolio of work. You are proficient with using Figma to design and prototype. You understand how to leverage design system elements and components in your work. Ability to clearly articulate your design decisions. Demonstrated understanding of how feature level work connects to broader end-to-end experiences. Preferred qualifications
Experience working on technical products or complex systems. Interest in contributing to team culture and collaborative design practices. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance. Growth potential This role offers opportunities to: Develop knowledge in complex strategic and autonomous systems. Build facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
