$104,778 - $128,060 Responsibilities: Serves as the Deputy Director of Communications, responsible for drafting and reviewing internal and external communications. Provides information to the public, County Departments, Bureaus, agencies, and the media regarding programs, policies, and procedures. Coordinates with the President's Office in managing communications and policy communications. Assists in drafting communications, newsletters, resolutions, press releases, and proclamations. Represents the County before the media and coordinates media access to the President. Develops strategies for disseminating County information and programs. Prepares press briefs and assists in preparing responses for media inquiries. Assists in the development of the overall communication program for the County. Oversees public relations and marketing for internal and external stakeholders. Manages public engagements and event logistics. Develops materials and presentations for stakeholders. Assigns and reviews work assignments to staff. Assists in the development of the annual operating budget. Basic Hiring Criteria: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, PLUS a minimum of three (3) years of experience in corporate communications in the public or private sector. Desired Qualifications: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism. Prior supervisory and management experience. Professional work experience in public relations. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred. Benefits:
