Exempt Indy Sports & Entertainment, the umbrella company to Indy Eleven, a professional soccer franchise playing in the United Soccer League’s (USL) top tier, along with a new W League women’s team and academy teams, is looking to add to its talented roster to help continue building Indy Eleven into the preeminent franchise within the USL. We are looking for someone who can lead the marketing efforts, brand proliferation, and overall growth of the Club over the coming years, including as we enter our new 20,000-seat downtown stadium and as we start the co-management of the Grand Park Sports Campus as well. The full-time position of Vice President, Marketing & Club Growth is responsible for developing, coordinating, and directing all marketing and community engagement activities for Indy Sports & Entertainment. This position leads marketing strategy for the club, including campaigns, branding, and audience engagement. Additionally, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training, and managing all marketing functions to achieve the company objective of sales, growth, profits, and visibility while ensuring a consistent brand and positioning that aligns with the vision of the Club. Job Duties

Provides leadership for community engagement, communications, public relations, marketing, creative design, branding, digital and event/entertainment staff and activities. Serves as primary relationship builder for the club and its key partners, customers, fans, and stakeholders. Works with leadership and staff to develop strategic partners for referencing, credibility, and alliances. Member of the executive team and integral part of organizational decisions and strategic growth. Remains strategic, tactical, and program-oriented, in that order. Responsible for competitive analysis, marketing strategies, and tactics. Researches, analyzes, writes, and implements a strategic marketing plan for the club. Helps manage and materially grow third-party relationships including marketing or advertising agencies. Conducts and analyzes market research to determine risk and marketability of potential products and product features. Supplies information to appropriate personnel. Measures the effectiveness of marketing programs, optimizes, and implements improvements. Works with the Vice President, Ticket Sales & Services and Vice President, Corporate Partnerships for product(s) pricing, name, positioning, packaging, and definition. Leads or works with an agency on media buying plans and placement of all advertising. Oversees all branded collateral including but not limited to ads, signage, promotional items, uniforms, digital assets, and consults on merchandise design. Oversees all social media and online engagement and drives strategy behind the tone, voice, and growth of these platforms. Supports staff in its implementation. Oversees all website and digital strategies including website content, contests, and the sites’ “look and feel.” Supports staff in its implementation. Plans and strategizes the organization's communications strategies, policies, and procedures and coordinates accordingly with communications staff and contractors. Maintains and materially grows a database of corporate, media, and industry influencer contacts. Oversees and concepts community engagement or fan events including but not limited to viewing parties, youth events, school events, volunteer activities, and partner-sponsored events. Assists in implementation. Works with corporate sponsorships and sales to market and advertise ticket sales and partner deliverables. Oversees merchandise in all facets including with Indy Eleven’s main kit supplier and retail outlets, as well as managing the Coordinator, Merchandise. Runs the Indy Eleven Club Affiliate Program focusing on youth recreational soccer across the state of Indiana. Directs the Camps department on scheduling and execution of all camps including youth, first team tryouts, W League tryouts, and any other on-field experiences. Develops and manages department budgets. Other duties as assigned. Experience & Requirements

Professional that can lead his/her team with a revenue generation skill set. Result-oriented who is ready to go to another gear. Bachelor’s Degree (recommended) in business, sports management, marketing, or related field. Minimum 7-10 years of successful marketing experience. Strategic approach to individual and team goals, both short-term and long-term. Excellent relationship-building skills. Excellent oral communication and writing skills – must be able to craft a professional written and oral proposal. Strong sense of professionalism and friendly in-person and on-phone demeanor. The desire to embrace a team-first mentality. Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe products including PhotoShop. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling many tasks at once. Excellent time management is required. Previous marketing experience with opening a new stadium or arena a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
