Job Description

We are trying to find a social media specialist to join our Marketing team. You will report to the Marketing Communications Manager on the BUS Marketing Team. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for promoting Blum products and services to our sales team, kitchen & bath designers, Blum customers, and the public through social media. This role does require somewhat of analytical mind, as understanding media trends and paying attention to data is important. The Social Media Specialist must understand when it is a suitable time to release posts for marketing strategies and when there are less favorable times. Creativity is required, as well as mindfulness, attention to detail, grammar and spelling awareness, understanding branding, and exhibiting high levels of professionalism.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote Blum products & services.
  • Comply with marketing standards and follow set processes for routine work.
  • Assist with the development of marketing processes over time.
  • Contribute ideas for improving marketing standards and processes.
  • Assist Human Resources with company branding and recruiting efforts via social channels.
  • Ensure the Blum image remains in line with the company culture & values.
  • Develop a social media plan, monitor each of our social media platforms, plan and schedule posts.
  • Implement social media campaigns, using the company’s voice, and staying on top of the ever-changing world of social media.
  • Understand and utilize customer profiles, customer journey & engagement tactics to create content relevant for the target audiences.
  • Have a natural writing voice that will be engaging, entertaining and conversational.
  • Post to social media channels with a consistent voice, depending on target audience.
  • Follow trending topics of interest and adjust postings accordingly.
  • Regularly provide information to marketing by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing social media results and trends.
  • Be willing to do what it takes to help the team get the job done, in the best way possible.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in social media and online engagement tools.
  • Experience using Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Threads, and X.
  • Experience using A/B Testing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time and self-management skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work independently, as well as with a team.
  • Keen eye for consistency.
  • Resourceful when searching for answers & solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software.
