As part of our continued success, Landau Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAD Designer to join our team. This role is available for either a mid-level (3-5 years of experience) or a senior-level (5+ years of experience) candidate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design and be proficient in using Autodesk Civil 3D to create detailed technical drawings and models. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive civil full-size permit and construction engineering plan sets, including cover sheets, site plans, horizontal control plans, grading and paving plans, utility plans, profiles, sections, notes, and details
  • Assist with civil engineering and design using Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Create proposed 3D surface models for site improvements, existing and proposed pipe network designs, alignments, profiles, and earthwork volume estimates
  • Perform quantity take-offs for cost estimating
  • Review jurisdictional codes and design requirements to determine necessary setbacks, CAD standards, drawing requirements, and source standard templates, notes, and details for plan preparation
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a consulting environment and complete short-term projects with tight deadlines
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to others, fostering their professional growth and development

Qualifications:

  • Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D for engineering plan set preparation is required: 3-5 years of experience for mid-level candidates or 5+ years for senior-level candidates
  • College degree, CAD certification or training, or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Ability to read topographic maps and utilize GIS data for preparation of plans and exhibits
  • Willingness to continue growing skills using Autodesk Civil 3D, GIS, and other software tools as required for the job
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The selected candidate will have the option to work a hybrid schedule in any one of the following office locations:

  • Spokane, WA
  • Portland, OR
  • Boise, ID

Landau Associates offers an excellent compensation and benefits package in an environment that promotes personal growth and professional advancement. The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $100,000 annually. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, performance, location, and internal equity.
