Salary:

SeKON is looking for a Technical Writer to join our talented and innovative team supporting Health and Human Services (HHS) specifically Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the primary federal entity responsible for oversight of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain knowledge and documentation of operational and system processes.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis on potential changes to existing processes.
  • Participate in the administration of project and program contract activities, including preparation for internal and external meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to define problems and implement solutions.
  • Create, review, and present program documents, business and software specifications, process flows, and test cases.
  • Document complex program and system needs for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in the analysis of data and the specification of report packages for internal and external audiences.
  • Works closely with other departments to optimize operational activities.
  • Support leadership and product owner and stakeholders on project priorities.
  • Prepare any instruction manuals, diagrams, how-to guides, and other supporting documents needed.
  • Engage in formatting, editing, and quality assurance on own work and work of others.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in the creation and implementation of documentation.
  • Become familiar with applicable services, concepts, practices, requirements, and procedures.
  • Prioritize, organize, and complete multiple activities, meeting established deadlines.
  • Collect, analyze, and compile information from various resources, for use in creation or editing of procedures, reports, and documents.
  • Manage review and approval of documents including comment resolution.
  • Develop documents that are organized, succinct, compliant, and meet internal and external deadlines; edit, proofread, and format documents for consistency, clarity, grammar, syntax, format, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in related field.
  • Experience developing technical documentation for Federal Health programs.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating technical briefings including executive leadership briefings.
  • Understanding different communication styles and formats.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.

Demonstrated experience exceeding client expectations with proactive responsiveness, initiative and quality completion of tasks.
